In May the first sleep spa will open its doors in Portugal, namely in the enchanting university city of Coimbra! Hästens Sleep Spa - CBR Boutique Hotel belongs to the Portuguese corporate group O Valor do Tempo, that made a partnership with Hästens brand, known for producing the best beds in the world.
These beds can cost up to 60 thousand euros, handmade by the most skilled artisans who employ traditional methods since 1852 and exclusively sustainable resources and natural materials, such as: horse hair, cotton, wool, linen and a patented spring mattress system. Each bed takes 200 hours to produce.
Hästens Sleep Spa - CBR Boutique Hotel has 15 rooms with Herlewing beds. The sleeping pack consists of duvets, bed clothes and pillows, according to the needs and preferences of the guests. This hotel pays a tribute to Coimbra as a city of knowledge and the Joanine Library is the leitmotif of the indoor decor.
The rooftop offers an astonishing view over the city of Coimbra and the private garden is a cosy spot where ornamental plants are mixed with stone sculptures.
Hästens Sleep Spa - CBR Boutique Hotel organises several activities, such as: tailor-made guided tours to Joanine Library or to the Physics Museum; pipe organ concerts or exclusive gastronomic experiences at São Marcos Palace.
