Pope Francis is a living symbol of the concept of hope, justice and social consciousness. In 2023, Pope Francis will pay another visit to Portugal, namely during the World Youth Day that will be held from August 1st to 6th in Lisbon. This 6-day trip to Portugal will also include a visit to the Shrine of Fátima.
Flexibility
Remote working became a new global trend, as well as the tribe of the digital nomads, who can work from any place of the world. The Mountain Villages network, located in the inland region of Serra da Estrela, aware of these transformations in the way we work nowadays, has created welcoming co-working places, attracting many young entrepreneurs to this region. They are located in the Mountain Villages of Videmonte, Alvoco das Várzeas and Lapa dos Dinheiros in complete harmony with nature.
Resilience
They can be very small dots in the world map, but it was thanks to them that the fate of a country was changed. Strategically placed next to the Spanish border, the Historical Villages of Portugal are the work result of many generations of Kings who were concerned about territorial defense and decided to populate and fortify the area. They are the living proof of the importance of resilience.
Empathy
The pandemic has brought us closer to nature, but also to our communities. The fascinating project Rostos da Aldeia ("Village Faces") tells the endless stories of the inhabitants of remote villages.
Colour
