AdegaMãe was the result of an old passion of codfish selling company Riberalves: wine. Located in Torres Vedras, within the Lisbon Wine Region. AdegaMãe is the place where this dream has come into life. A celebration of the deeply rooted wine-making tradition.
AdegaMãe brings out the best of a terroir strongly influenced by the prevailing sea breezes, standing out for its Atlantic-inspired wines, brimming with character, freshness and minerality. AdegaMãe wines have been awarded many national and international prizes. Diogo Lopes is the wine maker in charge of the creation of these irresistible wines.
Near the sea, up to the mountain chain that extends through the Montejunto-Estrela mountain system – that is where the white grape varieties are planted. This is an especially cool region, with moderate temperatures, mild summers and constant ocean breezes.
On the other hand, the red wines are born in a more continental terroir, in vineyards sheltered by the mountain chain, where the climate provides wider temperature variations, warmer summers and early maturation. The red grape varieties are an expression of freshness and minerality, always highly elegant.
AdegaMãe organises wine tastings; visits to the wine cellar; brunches with wine; lunches and dinners for groups and the programme "Winemaker for 1 day".
